 Hi,

Is there a way to restrict changeset comments with a specific regular expression? (without WI dependency!!)
for example - I want to allow only changetset comments with the substring "release

Yael.

Looking into the preconditions/advisors of the version you use, did you find such an advisor?

This help topic lists and describes the predefined preconditions and follow-up actions:  Operation preconditions and follow-up actions. I don't see one that requires that change set comments contain a specific string.

Since there is no out of the box precondition, you would have to create a custom solution. See https://rsjazz.wordpress.com/2012/11/01/restrict-delivery-of-changesets-to-workitem-types-advisordelivery-of-changesets-associated-to-wrong-work-item-types-advisor/ for how that could be done.
