I am trying to set up CLM Monitoring to a WebSphere CLM server.  It works fine connecting to a Tomcat server.  I am using WebSphere 8.5.5.10 for both Monitoring agent and server under test.  The Tomcat Server is at 5.0.2 and the WebSphere CLM server is at 6.0.2 - all running on AIX 7.1

This is the second time I have seen this being reported. I did not find out the root cause the first time round as my client could not provide the detailed information that I requested. In my own testing (back in last year), I managed to run CSM _Agent_ on both Tomcat and WAS. On Tomcat, JSR160RMI and RMI both worked fine but SOAP appeared problematic. It was the opposite on WAS, where only SOAP worked. I don't recall seeing JVMCFRE003 myself. So maybe you can try SOAP?
