Drill down on edited query in JRS 6.0.2

hani zaidi (74822) | asked Nov 07 '16, 8:57 a.m.
 Hi,

I've edited my report query in the advanced section to include a date difference formula. I also have some aggregated columns in my report. On execution I am unable to find drill down options for these aggregated fields. Is it true that editing query disables the drill down feature?

I am using JRS 6.0.2 with SQL.

Thanks in advance!

When a report query is edited manually, drill-down is no longer possible.

When drill-down is done Report Builder actually generates a new report query to expose the data used in a calculated column. The meta-data from the original report and calculated column is required to generate this drill-down report query. When a report is manually edited, all previous meta-data is lost and there is no way to determine the meta-data for custom SQL (or custom SPARQL).
