Please advise how or when custom links can be used for reporting?

Good Day,

As per the article below:

https://rsjazz.wordpress.com/2014/12/03/creating-custom-link-types-for-rational-team-concert/

"custom link types at least up to RTC 6.0.2 are ignored by the data collection component and can not be used for reporting purpose"

We are currently running CLM v6.0 and use Cognos v10 for our reporting, are there any plans to have custom link types copied to the datawarehouse in future releases? Or is there a way we can update the data collection jobs to cater for these new custom link types?

This is critical for our clients needs.

Thank you,
Kind Regards,
Michael Alberda

Currently RTC does not expose these custom links either in the data warehouse (which is used by Cognos reporting) nor in LQE (which is used by the Jazz Reporting Service).

There is an RTC enhancement request so please vote for it.

Enable Report Builder to use custom RTC link types (404521)

Hi Kevin,

I cannot seem to access the work item. Do you know if there has perhaps been any progress on this? The customer urgently needs to report on the custom links. We are currently trying to implement a program that pulls the links which can then be used in cognos. We are however experiencing issues.

Thanks,
Regards,
Michael
