Apply iFix to CLM 5.0.2 before migration

Hello

i'm trying to upgrade our CLM Solution from 4.0.6 to 5.0.2. Before starting the upgrade i'd like to apply the newes iFix of Version 5.0.2 (ATM iFix016).

So i installed 5.0.2 on the machine, copied the zip to the patch folder. Next step according to the readme.txt of the iFix is starting the server. Do i really have to do this or can i just run the repotools -clean command and then start the migration scripts?

In my test, I don't see the difference between server is on or off when running repotools -clean command. I guess starting the server is not a must requirement. I am interested in knowing the confirmation if anyone can.

You don't have to start the "fresh" server with a deployed ifix ; you can do the migrations then start the server process. I've done in 4 > 5 and 5 > 6 upgrades w/o issue.
