RTC report displaying total lines of code

Luca Martinucci (1.0k294112) | asked Aug 03 '16, 7:28 a.m.
We need to run a report that displays the increase (or decrease) over time of the total number of lines of code in a RTC Project Area.
This report should show on the x-axis the dates (with a specific interval: day, or week, or month), and on the y-axis the cumulative number of LOC.
So:
  • is this piece of information stored in the DWH?
  • is there an out-of-the-box report that displays these data? and in which reporting engine (BIRT, RRDI, JRS?
  • or, instead, should we implement an extension that retrieves these data?
The RTC version is 4.0.5.

Hello Luca,

the number on lines of code is not stored in the data warehouse.
This rules out the use of RRDI.

I don't know if this is available in BIRT.

Luca, please see https://www.google.com/search?q=lines+of+code+site:jazz.net for the same questions and the answers. There is noting in RTC to count LOC and if you want something you would have to use an external tool to calculate that metric. E.g. do a LOC count during builds.
