Migration from m3 to m4

Robert Farrugia (5614) | asked Dec 12 '07, 12:12 p.m.
HI,

are there any guidelines to migrate from M3 To M4?

Secondly: we would like to install M4 server on a different macchine than the current one, though having the same data of the current server. Are there any specific procedures to do this?

Regards

JAZZ DEVELOPER
We are releasing Beta2 in 2 days (Dec 14th). So, we recommend everyone to
migrate from M3 to Beta2. Instructions to migration from M3 to Beta2 are
available at
https://jazz.net/learn/LearnItem.jsp?href=content/docs/repo-migration/MigrateData0.6M4.html

Migrate to a different machine is no different from migrating Jazz data from
one version to another on the same machine. Export the data using the M3a
reportools on your old machine. Transfer the tar to the new machine and use
it to perform the import.
