Restricting/permission who can Rank Items in a Plan
I have a large project which have quite large Backlogs and Plans and use Ranking extensively.
A recent occurrence these WIs were incorrectly ranked by a user who did not have the authority to do this and resulted in over 100 WIs that had to be ranked again. To protect the Plan Ranking we would like to be able to restrict who can Rank the WIs, is this possible but still allowing to change values in the columns, ie not drag and drop for ranking but amend story points column on WI We are using 4.0.7 Thanks |

You can remove the permission for operation "Modify the 'Rank' attribute" from the role (as well as Everyone (default)). You can do the same for the operation "Modify the 'Rank (relative to Priority)' attribute". When you are in the Permission page, simple type in "rank" in the search box and these two actions will show up.
