Why is upgrade to RTC client v6 using IM hanging?

I have RTC client V5.0.2 on Windows. I installed it using IM. I am on IM Version: 1.8.5

I am trying to upgrade to RTCv6.0.2 client which hangs on Update Packages -> Select a package group to find updates for ...

Unfortunately I am unable to upload a picture showing the panel where hang occurs.

Short answer is you cannot upgrade any RTC components using IM. If you read the upgrade guide, it should already mention this.
