Rational Quality Manager (RQM) 6.0 - how to set up different users as reviewers and approvers of test case?
The steps I have followed:
Open Test Case, under Formal review, set up users for review, save the test case. Then set up users for approval, and save the test case. It seems the last list is applied to both reviewers and approvers.
Can you please advise how to separate the list of reviewers from approvers for a specific test case?
Thank you ..
Accepted answer
I tested with v6.0.1(+ifix03) and I can add reviewer and approver separately.
First of all, I changed New: Approval to Review and then add reviewer Bob. Save the test case
then under New: Approval, I select Approval and then add new approver Dave following the screen(see below)
I don't see anything abnormal here. Did you do anything different or my understanding of the issue is wrong?
Thanks

I am using QM version 6.0 with iFix001. It seems there are 2 ways to add a new reviewer or approver.
The steps I followed is by selecting Review then clicked on add Reviewer button - which is what I did. I am afraid I was not able to attach my screenshot.
Note that the test case is still marked as reviewed even though I added a new reviewer. I expected the status to change to Pending.
Then I switched to Approval, I see that the new reviewer (IBM) is automatically added to the Approvers list.
Again, I was not able to upload an image to this post.
Thanks,

Hi, Nadra
The behavior described is quite odd. I added reviewer the same way as yours, but I do see the status changed to pending if I added a new reviewer. Regarding switching to approval, did you save any changes in Reviewer before you add the new approval? if saved and you see new reviewer automatically added into approvers list, it should be a defect. I tried again with 5.0.2(see screenshot) and did not see any problem(I don't have 6.0 to try with here but 601 does work fine).
you may want to create a defect to get it addressed or contact support team to investigate further.
Thank you for your reply.
