ClearQuest adapter development to integrate it with kanban ?

Hi All,

I want develop a adapter to integrate ClearQuest with Kanban.

I want to use CM API of ClearQuest (clearQuest version 8.0.0) for development in eclipse.

My question is ?

to start development I have to use a eclipse installed separately and make CM API plugin to that or use the ClearQuest designer tool?

As ClearQuest designer is not giving direct option to create Java project.
