Why are we unable to accept an invitation to a project from the RQM cloud trial?

John Fisher (1111) | asked Jan 15 '16, 10:44 a.m.
I have created a trial project in the cloud sandbox and have attempted inviting a fellow evaluator to my project from the web interface. The evaluator receives the email but when clicking the 'accept' link, a permission error is displayed: "
You are not authorized to view this invitation."
The same also occurs when the other evaluator attempts inviting me to their project.
Is this capability supported by the cloud trial? In order to evaluate with multiple users within a project, is a downloaded trial required?

Hi John,

When trying to accept the invite are you logged into jazz.net using an account with the same e-mail address that the e-mail is sent to? The permission denied error you are getting may be due to this.

Another way to accept the invite is to go into the cloud sandbox you received an invite in (i.e. https://www.jazz.net/sandbox01, https://www.jazz.net/sandbox02, https://www.jazz.net/sandbox03 or https://www.jazz.net/sandbox04) and accept it using the widget on the right.

Hi Martin,

Thank you for the quick response. Our issue remains unsolved after attempting the above.

I've confirmed matching emails between the invitee and the jazz.net user email. My projects areĀ in sandbox02 but "0 Project Invitations" displays alone in the widget on the right. We've also navigated to each sandbox to confirm the widget has no invitations displayed.

That's very odd. If the e-mail is the same then you should have permission to accept the invite.

Could you help me track down the problem by attempting the following:
I've sent you an invite to a test project. Could you try accepting that and let me know if it works?

Your test invite worked as expected and the join flow was successful.

I've retested on our internal invites and they still deny access.

I think I have discovered the problem, it's likely due to a defect on our side (case sensitivity of e-mail addresses). I will e-mail you with more info.
