RTC Migration from 1.0.1.1 to 2.0. Imported projects are uni
7 answers
I ran repotools to export the database to a file. After upgrade, I ran
repotools to import the database file.
All three projects are uninitialized. If I initialize the projects, none of
the imported artifacts appear.
Any fix for this?
Tony
Hi Tony
Before you do anything else - move the exported tar file from your 1.x repotools export somewhere safe!
Did the export and import complete without any errors? Did you use the repotools from your upgraded installation?
What process was your old projects using?
Sorry about all the questions...

Hi Anthony:
1. Already have a copy of it off the server on my machine.
2. Used repotools 1.0.1.1 to export and used repotools 2.0 to import.
3. The user mentioned that it was Agile (pretty sure was his quote)
4. Errors, I had this message:
Imported 415 items, 437 item states in 58594 ms. 144 item states skipped.
Error importing 0 elements.

Phew!
The rest sounds good except the error message. I don't know if this error is significant, perhaps one of the work item team can comment.

Let see what anyone else has to say.

The code which migrates project areas from RTC 1.0.1.1 to RTC 2.0 doesn't
do anything to the initialized state, so this is strange. Are you using a
clean RTC 2.0 build to import or do you have some other plugins installed?
If you're sure that the project areas in question were initialized before
they were exported and you don't have any other plugins installed which
might be interfering in the import, please file a workitem against Jazz
Foundation -> Process. If we can get a copy of your export tar, we can
figure out what's happening.

Random thought - are you using supported JVM/JRE's? Which version are you running?

Hi Jared:
There are no plugins installed and it was a clean RTC 2.0 build.
I will file a workitem and follow up.

I download the SDK for WAS 7.0 and applied the fixpack for 7.0.0.3 and the
sdk fixpack per RTC Installation Instructions.
