RQM - Correct usage of "Exclude Passed from Execution" in TSER

Sterling Ferguson-II (1.6k13288273) | asked Oct 12 '15, 8:40 a.m.
 All,

A TSER that has 10 TCERs, 7 passed and 3 failed.

Run the TSER again and choose "Exclude Passed from Execution" = 3 passed.

Do a report of the TSER = 3 passed, not 10 passed. Is it expected that the tester should not use the "Exclude Passed from Execution" function that was created?

Sterling,

I believe it depends on how test execution is planned. The option you have is to either re-run those 7-passed tests or skip it. If tester prefer to skip those passed tests then opt for 'Exclude Passed from Execution'. As you are skipping those passed tests report will not show that count.

We have found 'Exclude Passed from Execution' feature quite useful where test suite contains several hundred tests but only few fails which require re-run in next execution.

Mehul
