Meta data concerning files in RTC SCM

Martin Bailey (6685) | asked Jul 16 '09, 10:28 a.m.
We are in the process of migrating to RTC. In our current source control system, we have meta data stored against each item in the repository. We have a complex component hierarchy and this meta data describes where that item is in the hierarchy.

We rely on this information in our automated build and test routines to define what goes where.

In RTC - there seems to be only one level of components. Is there any facility in RTC to store attributes against repository files ? If there is not - can you think of an alternative approach to achieve the same thing ?

Thanks,
Martin.

This is not yet available in RTC 2.0 but it is on our radar for an upcoming release.

Hi, I am also interested in this enhancement. Is there any work item
opened for it?

Thanks in advance,
