planning with dependency trees?
We've got the ability to show parent/child relationships in a tree-view
in an iteration or release plan. Is there a similar way to view dependencies (depends on/blocks)? -- John Kohl Senior Software Engineer - Rational Software - IBM Software Group Lexington, Massachusetts, USA jtk@us.ibm.com <http> |

We've got the ability to show parent/child relationships in a tree-view this is currently not possible in plans. However, you can always show these relationships in the work item explorer for query results (see https://jazz.net/projects/rational-team-concert/features/wi, section "Queries for links, work item explorer relationship view") -- MikeS Jazz Agile Planning team |

So I filed this as enhancement 86965. (https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=86965) On a related note, while viewing results in a work item query result, is there an "expand all" capability to open up the tree of related items? -- John Kohl Senior Software Engineer - Rational Software - IBM Software Group Lexington, Massachusetts, USA jtk@us.ibm.com <http> |
Yeah, I find the work item relationship displays a bit clunky to use, I agree, thank you!
No, to my knowledge this is currently not possible. -- MikeS Jazz Agile Planning team |

OK, so that's now enhancement request 87019: https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Rational%20Team%20Concert#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=87019 -- John Kohl Senior Software Engineer - Rational Software - IBM Software Group Lexington, Massachusetts, USA jtk@us.ibm.com <http> |
