planning with dependency trees?

We've got the ability to show parent/child relationships in a tree-view
in an iteration or release plan.
Is there a similar way to view dependencies (depends on/blocks)?

this is currently not possible in plans. However, you can always show
these relationships in the work item explorer for query results (see
https://jazz.net/projects/rational-team-concert/features/wi, section
"Queries for links, work item explorer relationship view")

Yeah, I find the work item relationship displays a bit clunky to use,
and most of the time when I'm doing planning I want to be in a plan, not
a work item query result pane.

So I filed this as enhancement 86965.

On a related note, while viewing results in a work item query result, is
there an "expand all" capability to open up the tree of related items?

I agree, thank you!

No, to my knowledge this is currently not possible.

OK, so that's now enhancement request 87019:
