Apache Error - /jazz/setup unavailable

Eike Meyer (612211) | asked Jun 30 '09, 5:40 p.m.
I have a problem connecting to the server setup. I get the following error message in the internet explorer:
type Status report

message ProxyServlet: /jazz/setup

description The requested resource (ProxyServlet: /jazz/setup) is not available.

I installed the Enterprise Edition from ZIP. To run the server I used the startup.bat as well as installing a tomcat service as described in the 2.0 documentation. Neither way helped. When I try to connect to jazz/admin, I don't get the same error message. I only get the please wait writing which normally appears (but the admin access login screen doesn't appear).

I previously had the Standard Edition 1011 installed with tomcat running as a windows service. However I removed the service with the service.bat remove command prior to starting the new RTC server. So I think this shouldn't be an issue, though I'm not entirely sure.

Hi Eike

Check your tomcat window (assuming you are trying your server via startup.bat) - was there a database access error at all or did Jazz Team Server log in to the right database cleanly. If you don't even get to the database access bit, it is something else.

I would check both the tomcat logs and jazz log file for more information. Also, I would recommend, if possible, to install using the Installation Manager. Installing this way allows incremental upgrades when new versions are released and will make your life much easier when upgrade time comes.

Thank you for the replies! I got it working after I reinstalled RTC. I will propably switch to the installation manager version as a next step.

Hitting the same issue. No error in the logs.

Solution:
Stop RQM server (in fact Tomcat)
Remove following dirs:
\server\tomcat\webapps\jazz
\server\tomcat\work
Start RQM server (this will force redeployment of jazz.war).
