RTC 2.0 client and RSA 7.5.3

Eamon McCormick (4195) | asked Jun 30 '09, 3:19 p.m.
Hi,

I'm getting the following error message when I attempt to install the RTC 2.0 client into an existing RSA 7.5.3 Eclipse shell:

Client for Eclipse IDE 2.0 is not allowed in the package group; it is not compatible with IBM Rational Software Architect for WebSphere Software 7.5.3.

I had the same issue when trying to install into RSA 7.5.1, so I updated, thinking that might help.

Any guidance would be appreciated here. Thanks!

There is a success history using RSA 7.5.2 posted a couple of days ago
(the subject was: Installing RTC 2.0 into a RSA 7.5.2 Eclipse).

Can you check if you have installed RTC Client feature included with
RSA? You should remove it before installing RTC 2.0 Client.

BTW, AFAIK RSA 7.5.2 doesn't support officially RTC 2.0 Client yet (and
I haven't read any change in this statement in release notes of 7.5.3).
Just in case you find problems...

Regards,

Chemi.
