Queston: 1. RTC is run on JAZZ platform right, If I want to crate new application on jazz what should I do, Where I start. Does it relate to JAZZ Foundation SDK or not because I have no idea how to programming with jazz sdk to get new application. 2. Extending RTC can create something like new application or just a small script to use with RTC If I want to create new program similar to RTC (both eclipse and WebUI), Can I do, and How. Also use RTC repository component can I? Well, Thank you very much all you guys I dream to be a part of JAZZ 555 |

After I study Jazz Foundation and Rational Team Concert for a while, I Develop a new application FOR Jazz, means develop a set of plug-ins that will extend the capabilities of Jazz. For that purpose you will need Jazz SDK. Develop a new application WITH Jazz, means develop a business application with your favorite tool and programming language using as Development Cycle services (SCM, Build, etc...) Jazz. Hope this clarify little bit, Chemi. |
Do I wrong if I say that

What you say is basically correct.
Some more details: Historically, the first version of the Jazz platform was built as part of the RTC development effort. But the intent was always to have a separate Jazz platform which you could use both to: - build new software tools - integrate existing software tools The Jazz Foundation (with its SDK) is the instantiation of the Jazz platform. The fact that RTC was actually developed first is why RTC is at version 2.0, while the Jazz Foundation is at version 1.0. Cheers, Geoff more_ICT wrote: Do I wrong if I say that |
