Hi,

We have RRC 4.0.1. We are beginners in creating document style report templates using RPE. Is there any API change required for created report to be available to end users?. Also point us the help links if this change is required.

 Hi  Rhishikesh Patil

Assuming that you have created your custom report template (dta file), please follow steps provided on following link to upload the custom DTA file to the RM server, you can skip step1. https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RRCCustomRRDGReportsWalkthrough

Here is the link for RM reporting wiki:

In case you need something related to RPE, this is a great site to start:

Hi Rhishikesh,

You need to use RRC's Reportable REST API for designing template in RPE Studio and to do document generation through Launcher. You may also upload the template after some additional configuration into RRC (as reports) and generate the document from RRC itself as explained in https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/RRCCustomRRDGReportsWalkthrough

What do you mean by API change? Are you anticipating API changes when you upgrade RRC?
As we have seen the past, in most cases templates created for RRC 4.0.x can be used for later versions of RRC (RDNG) as well. Please ignore this section if I did not understand your question correctly.

Regards,
Prasad
