permissions to remove links

Miguel Tomico (5001423) | asked Mar 09 '15, 11:31 a.m.
We were trying to restrict users from deleting links. In particular, 'Related Test Case' and 'Tested by Test Case' link types.
In the Process Configuration, Team Configuration, Permissions, we can see the following permissions to remove links under 'modify the work item's links':
- Remove an attachment
- Remove a blocked link
- Remove a child link
- Remove a dependency link
What about the rest of the link types? e.g. 'Related Test Case', 'Tested by Test Case' and 'Affected by Defect', just to name a few.

I understand RTC v4.0.3 does now allow to grant or restrict permissions on those ones. Is that correct?

Miguel,

I don't see these links in the permissions. As far as I am aware you can not prevent them from being created and deleted in RTC, at least I don't see specific role.
To me it looks like you can't control permissions on this level.

Thank you Ralph.
Odd limitation. Permissions can be set for certain link types, but not for other ones.
I've created an enhancement request:
