Citrix Compatibility with RTC
One answer
1. RTC running on a Citrix environment is not currently supported.
If this is crtitical, users might want to raise an RFE on this with a business justification:
www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe
2. System Requirements for CLM 5.0.2:
https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Deployment/CLMSystemRequirements50
This clearly mentions that virtualization is supported for the Application layer (Server) Only.
CLM does not currently support virtualization for the client(s).
3. There have been a similar RFE's earlier and the below one is interesting:
https://jazz.net/jazz/web/projects/Jazz%20Collaborative%20ALM#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.viewWorkItem&id=205589
It mentions:
The general concept is we should be able to support additional VM's as long as:
1. The operating system being hosted in the virtualized environment is supported in a non-virtualized environment.
2. The defects reported are reproducible outside the virtualization environment and if they are they will be addressed through the normal support mechanisms.
3. Customers understand that Rational support may not have access to the virtualization environment and will attempt to reproduce the issues reported on a non-virtualized environment.
4. Lastly, one might also want to see the SWG Policy on VM Support here:
