What property in the process config controls automatic state change for duplicate work items?

Does anyone know what process config property (or combined properties) control the automatic state change of work items to "Resolved" when identified as a duplicate of another work item?

We have a custom workflow for work items in a minimally customized scrum process based project area.  Since pointing the defect work item to the new workflow the automated state change to resolved on defects has stopped.

I would like to understand the exact properties that are in the default Scrum process template that control this behavior for work items.
