"Blocking DEFECTS"

Hi All,
I have a question regarding "BLOCKING DEFECTS" functionality that I see as part of Test Execution Record tab under the test cases.
I know how to use it but couldn't figure out what its use was.
Does it help in reporting if so in which reports....
Thanks & regards
Amit Sharma

Hi, I believe that the original intention was to be able to know which test cases were blocked by defects, so that a tester would know not to run them. Users also wanted a way to see which test cases were blocked by which defects, especially in the case where one defect was blocking multiple test cases, so that they could prioritize their bug-fixing. I will have to check on which reports can be used for this purpose. Thanks.
