Test Manager migration with RQM

Hi,
I am trying to migrate test assests from test manager to rational quality manager as per the help i followed the steps.
but when i start running RQMMigration.exe it is giving me an error saying that "This application has failed to start because RTArtifactServer.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem" i tried many times but getting same error.
Plz help me how i can solve this issue and migrate test assets from test manager to quality manager.

did you install the migration files in the rational test directory under c:\program files\rationa\rational test or in some other location ... they have to be in the original Rational Test manager directory structure

Hi Lakshmi,
1.Make sure RQMMigration.exe and all other supporting xml files are copied to
"C:\program files\Rational\Rational Test" and not the RQMMigration folder

2. In case Rational directory is not default then change the path accordingly in step 1.

3. The second alternative is do not copy migration tool and let it be there where you extracted it. In this case you need to add "C:\program files\Rational\Rational Test" to PATH environment variable.

4. In case of TestManager v7.0.2 or above the default is is different

5. TestManager is MUST on the machine where migration tool is launched

Hope it helps

Hi,

Im running a the TMMigration tool. When the migration is done, when I go look into RQM, the association between test scripts and test case is not there.
For example, in TM (7.0.2.2), I have TC_A that has an implementation with Robot script S1. In RQM, both script and TC are migrate but S1 is not listed in the the test script section of test case TC_A.

Since we have thousands of these links, we would avoid re-doing all of them manually.

Thanks,

HI Pramod,

RQM 2.0.1 ifix 3. Tool taken from that version.
If I look in the RQMMigration_TestCase.xml file, there is no mapping info about test script implementatiom.
Should I customize it ?

Thanks

Martin

This has been fixed now in 201 iFix005 which is yet to be released but a hot fix can be requested from Tech support.
