Can a RQM category be passed out as an execution variable?

I have a question about RQM (v4.0 we are using) to do with execution variables. 

Can a Categoy of a test case (eg. Release) be passed out by the test script associated with the test case as an execution variable?

ie. currently i have the tester manually creates an execution variable in the test script called Release_Name and assigns it a value. However this Release is already a category associated with the Test Case.

Our platform is Windows XP.

Hi Dave,

Currently we dont have any such feature to link the Categories with Execution variables. We cannot use categories as execution variables.Please open an RFE if this is required for your project.
