Can you have Multi select parameters in document style reports deployed to RTC?

Russell Norlund (17211724) | asked Sep 30 '14, 4:00 a.m.
I am running RTC 4.0.3 and Rational Publishing 1.2.1.1. I have successfully deployed a RPE Report to RTC. I have an external variable that captures the 'Filed Against value'. However, when the drop down list for the 'Filed Against' value appears I can only select a single value. Is there anyway of making this drop down list multi-select?

I am afraid you cannot do this.
You may get the same result using a single variable, that will be used in native filter.
For example, create an external variable named filter and use it in native filter ==> ${filter}
During document generation, set the value something like
target/name="1.1.2.1" or target/name="1.1.2.2"

Are you suggesting that the user manually enter the  values into the external variable as some form of list e.g. 1.1.2.1, 1.1.2.2 and this list is then parsed to create the native filter?

The value for "filter" variable should be something like
'projectArea/name="ProdA"  or projectArea/name="ProdB"'
