[closed] ClearCase Version Importer Error

What does this error mean?

Configuration must be a strict tree for item "my folder name"

I am trying to import with the -f option.  I did it with a different directory called "myfoldername" Notice the spaces?  I have used quotes in my command to account for spaces.

When I use single quotes I get this error:

could not resolve folder 'my' to a folder.

Robert Carter,

I assume you are using the 'import ccase' command? If so, can you paste the entire command you are using? I assume you are importing to the same -c component as when it worked for your directory without spaces.

An IBM'er would have to answer what the error message means, it's esoteric.

If you're getting hung up on it, you may just want to import to folder names without spaces and then, after the code is imported, perform a RTC move on the code to move it into the correct folder names with the spaces. RTC maintains version history on moves.
