Test Case names in RQM not reflecting in DOORs

We have created links from requirements in DOORS to Test cases in RQM. We have also created traceability column in DOORS using Wizard analysis (by choosing options External Links and displaying External Link attribute “Name”)

Now they have changed names of the test cases and test case name changes are not getting reflected in traceability column in requirements module in DOORS.

Setup Details:

DOORS version: 9.5.0.0

RQM version: 4.0.3

OSLC: 2.0

Please let us know why test cases name changes are not getting reflected in DOORS module. We have tried running wizard analysis again in DOORS module, but doesn't show changed test name names.

Thanks for help.

Links (forward and back) in OSLC V2 are stored by the OSLC consumer application.  The link is composed of the URL to the referenced resource and some descriptive text called a link label.  For text cases, the link label is the test case web ID and name (or title).  When the test case name (or title) is updated, the referencing link(s) are not updated.  To update the link label, the link would need to be recreated.

 Hi Shashi,

I would say you are not doing a live read from RQM.  That all you are displaying is the label of the artifact which is stored in DOORS itself, and would be found even if you hadn't logged into RQM.  If you run the reports under the RQM menu, I would expect it to be accurate.  Also the OSLC QM layout dxl should be accurate.

fyi, from 9.6, there are some http perms documented which could help with this type of use case.  See 'New in DXL for Rational DOORS 9.6' in the dxl manual.  http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/api/content/SSYQBZ_9.6.0/com.ibm.doors.requirements.doc/topics/dxl_reference_manual.pdf
