[closed] RRC - Permissions won't be loaded - Why?
Hi folks,
at the moment we have a curious problem.
From now to then we are not able to manage artifacts within RTC.
It seems like permissions cannot be loaded. At the top of the windows - when changing to the Artifacts tree - we receive a "Loading permissions..." message for wuite long.
After a while this message fails with:
Within the log files I don't see any further information which could be brought in content with this error.
Any ideas?
Greetings, Simon

Simon,
A couple things:
1) Which version of RRC are you using? A fix was delivered in RRC 4.0.5 to load project permissions more efficiently when viewing artifacts in the grid, under this work item: WebUI inefficiently loads permissions in grid (62556). It's possible that an upgrade to version 4.0.5 could address your situation here.
2) Since the service to retrieve project permissions is a very database-intensive operation, any sort of issues affecting database performance could significantly affect how fast permissions are fetched. I would check the JTS Diagnostics page, along with the Performance Health Check widget which should be accessible through your user dashboard. Specifically, I would look at the value for "Database Latency" in the Health Check widget, and work with your DB Admin to reduce any latency detected.
Hope this helps!

The Problem is fixed now.
What was the problem?
We could break down the problem of a missing license.
We are using token licenses for RRC and RQM and noticed that the users didn't get licenses from the token pool. The Jazz applications even did not request licenses from this pool - we don't know why because no messages are available within the logs.
Through this night I restarted the Jazz server ét voilá - the server requests token licenses and RRC permissions are loaded correctly again.
The curious thing:
- We did a server restart before which didn't fix this problem.
- A restart of the profile itself did not solve the problem.

Simon
