Installation manager can't connect

Charles de Saint-Aignan (61) | asked Apr 04 '09, 2:22 p.m.
I'm trying to use the installation manager to install into an existing Eclipse. However, whenever I start it up, I get:

The following repositories are not connected:

Should I be using a different URL as the repository? This was the default the product came with...Thanks.

Hi

Some things to try...

Check your logged in correctly to jazz.net. The IM will grab files off jazz.net using your jazz.net login.

Next, check you don't have any network settings (for example, you may need to use a proxy - this can be set via the IM).

A last thought - check jazz.net is up and running (not the forums, but the download part) try and start a download to check that part of the site is running).

I have no proxy, and the repository settings don't have an area where you provide credentials. I assume the connection is unauthenticated. If I paste the URL into a brower, for instance, I get "not found" error.

Anyone else with another suggestion?

Thanks.

Hi

If you are connecting to jazz.net to grab the bits via the IM - then you should be prompted for a user id and password. This seems to be the problem here.

If you are already logged in to jazz.net on a browser window, try logging out and closing the browser down before running the IM.

Can you tell us which version of the IM you are using (Help->About). On Windows for RTC 1.0.1.1 it should be 1.3 (at least, that is what I am running at the moment).
