Error while opening dataset in Report Design perspective

Hi,

I get the following error when I try to right click and edit one of the data sets I created in Report Design perspective.

Plug-in:Eclipse.org
Plug-in-Name:BIRT Designer UI
Plug-in ID:org.eclipse.birt.report.designer.ui
Version:2.2.2.r222_v20071226
Error Code:Error.GUIException.invokedByUnexpectedException
Error Message:Caused by org.eclipse.datatools.connectivity.odaException.

Any Ideas?

Hi Bharath,

Can you check if your RTC client has a connection to the jazz server?
Is your data source using this connection?

Please check this topic on the forum, which seems related:

Hello, I have this problem too. Steps to reproduce:

1. Go through all steps to create report (create data source, data sets, produce report, and view report)
2. Go back in to edit the data set (double click on data set)
3. Get the same error as original poster

RTC server - version 1.0.1

I can change everything except for the data set parameters or output. Additionally, I can view the result set.

This sounds like a known BIRt 2.2.2 bug :(
