Multiple CLM instances sharing a single Oracle DB with DW configured?

Roger Boester (656) | asked Jan 30 '14, 5:27 p.m.
Can a single Oracle 11.2.0.3 DB be used for multiple CLM instances (RTC & RQM & JTS)?  They are each using unique connection user names like JTS1 and JTS2 - same for the other apps and the DW users.  We are setting up multiple 4.0.5 test instances and need to minimize DB creations and share as much as possible.  Each app is on it's own VM server and that works OK, but when trying to setup the DWs we run into what I suspect are contention issues for the same resources in the DB.

Hi Roger,

Like Michael said, you can have multiple CLM servers using one Oracle DB, but if you want to have more than one Data Warehouse you must use CLM 4.0 or above. You have to specify a different "Schema prefix" for each DW.

 Hi Roger,

Yes, you can have one database and multiple tablespaces and users. Here is the setting up Oracle topic in the IC.
