LDAP and user email

I am trying to set the email address of a user in RTC.
All the users in the repository are controlled by LDAP. When a user is created, all the information from Bluepages is set for us.
When I open the user profile screen (client or web), the change email button is ALWAYS greyed out. I have admin authority and it is my own user profile. If I can't change it with admin authority, when could I ever change it?
I'm running RTC 1.0.1.

Hello Terry,

if the users are controlled by LDAP then the e-mail is synchronized in (in
a nightly run) from LDAP. So you would need to change the e-mail in LDAP.
A change e.g. a namechange would become available after the LDAP sync.

Because the e-mail is supposed to come from LDAP (using a specific LDAP property
mapping in the advanced jazz server properties), why would you want to change
the e-mail?

Thank you for the info. I personally don't want to change the email address but one of the teams I support for RTC made this request. They must have some reason for doing it.
