The automated "Mentioned By" link works in "Description" and "Discussion" fields but none of our custom HTML fields. Is there any way to make it happen in those custom fields? Thanks.

 Unfortunately it is not possible to configure custom attributes to participate in the process of updating mentioned links. 

The attributes are currently hard coded to:

Was looking to use the same feature with a custom attribute today.  Have opened Enhancement 292994 for this.
