Jazz 4.0.2 Admin Question, CLM Project Setup Request - What is necessary to Change a CLM Project Name . What is required to change a project name in CLM project setup? |
One answer
You can change the project name in /<app>/admin.
When you change the Lifecycle project name, it won't update each of the application project areas. You will need to manually change the project area names (CCM, RM, QM etc). I haven't tested if the integration will still work after a name change, but the project areas will still be linked based on project area UUID. Therefore, the association name will not change to reflect the project area name change. If the association is broken by the name change, you can just re-add it. Comments

And as a warning: Changing names will break user bookmarks to project dashboards, etc.

Are you asking about renaming lifecycle projects in LPA (https://myserver:9443/admin)? Or about renaming project areas within the CLM applications (RTC, RQM, RRC)?
