Running multiple ClearCase Importers

Steve Briand (411817) | asked Sep 19 '13, 4:03 p.m.
Based on enhancements and changes to the ClearCase Importer is it now recommended to conduct either of the following?

1. Run multiple imports against the same VOB but different branches.
2. Run multiple imports against different VOBs.

These would be initiated from separate synchronization/importer client, but communicating with a single CCM server.

Either of those are fine.
For use case (1), note that if you want the resulting version trees to show the appropriate branching structure, you will want to import the branch containing the foundation label of the branch, before importing the branch (or for UCM, import the stream containing the foundation baseline of the stream before importing that stream).
