Which is the best configuration for a small team?

Matteo Acchini (16123) | asked Sep 11 '13, 3:21 a.m.
I manage a  small team of 7 people.
I install RTC to manage our projects and activities.
I found this link  https://jazz.net/library/article/205 that describes different configurations to setup the server and DB. Which is the best configuration for a team of 7 people that manages 30 projects? Derby is a good choice or is better use DB2?

thanks

JAZZ DEVELOPER
As described in the download sheet.

  https://jazz.net/downloads/rational-team-concert/releases/4.0.4

"Apache Derby is included with the default installation to allow quick installations for simple trials or small teams. However, when using Apache Derby, the server limits the number of Developer users (including 10 Free, Workgroup, and IBM Enterprise Platforms) to a maximum of 10. To avoid this limitation, install using one of the DB2 editions or another supported database."

There is a limitation of using it.  For example, number of people eventually exceeds 10 (currently 7). In that case, there is a need of migration from Derby to DB2.

Hi Matteo,
You can use DB2 Express-C edition which is available for free. It should work for your quite good.

Let us know if it helps for your.
