Multiple components having common root?

I want to have 3 components laid out like this.

Comp A is
folder 1
folder 2
folder 3

Comp B is
folder 4
file 1

Comp C is
Folder 5

And in my workspace I want them to be like this
\folder 1
\folder 2
\folder 3
\folder 4
\folder 5
\file 1

Question: I can't seem to make this happen. To create and load a component I have to create a project. When I create a project it creates a new root folder to hold all files/folders in the project. Therefore when I share the project and create a component they each have their own root.
resulting in:
\Comp A\Folder 1
\Comp A\Folder 2
\Comp A\Folder 3
\Comp B\Folder 4
\Comp B\File 1
\Comp C\Folder 5

Any ideas how to avoid this?
Thanks

This is now the default behavior and works as expected (at least from eclipse client / load dialog)
