Hi,

Is there a way in RQM to automatically create a defect / task when a test / execution fails?

We have an automated test suite that runs regularly. It would be very useful to have defects or tasks created automatically when any of the tests in it fails. Even if they are not real defects, and indeed failures in the automation, this would still be beneficial for us to track automation maintenance efforts down the line.

Hi Padraig,

Unfortunately, there is no way for RQM to automatically create a defect or task when an execution fails. Please feel free to submit an enhancement for this behavior: https://jazz.net/jazz02/web/projects/Rational%20Quality%20Manager#action=com.ibm.team.workitem.newWorkItem&type=enhancement

Tory
