How to see the project status, likes in dev/test/design in project area with traditional project template?

In our usage, one project has one Project Area, and use the traditional project template.
We have the main dev iteration and design phase, code phase, test phase which are sub iterations in Project Area.
I can have the plan and see the progress of the main dev.
How can I know which phase this project stand in dashboard or report?
The project manager or stakeholder may want to know the project in dev or test or design at a glance.
Do you have any idea?

You can set the current iteration for the phase you are in.
If you do so then in the project dashboard from 4.0 onwards. You can select the plan whose progress needs to displayed.

Thanks Aradhya, I think I should firstly create the design/dev/test iteration in project are timeline, and then set one of them as current iteration. Right?
