Expired Rational Jazz Foundation User license in Jazz Foundation Server 4.0.2?
The Rational Jazz Foundation User license included in the Jazz Foundation Server 4.0.2 download expired on May 21, 2013. I downloaded this to start playing with Jazz and, according to the instructions at https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/JAFSdkSetup, I'm supposed to assign my user this kind of license.
It's unclear to me what problems I'll run into by not having that license. This does seem to be a common problem based on previous questions (for different releases of JFS). Should I not bother with JFS and just install RTC with its 10-developer license? |
One answer
Since jts is already installed, all that needs to be done is to import one of the developer licenses. This can be done by 1) log into jts/admin page with a user that has jazzAdmin role. 2) Select Manage Licenses and from this page upload the developers license. Once saved, 1) Select the users tab 2) Select the desired user and then 3) Select the uploaded license for the list of available CAL's and hit save.
