Why Backlog is in Current plan view?

Don Yang (7.7k21109138) | asked May 06 '13, 2:00 a.m.
I notice that when open Current Plan or My Current Plan view in RTC, backlog type plan is always included. My understanding is that current plan is for the plan having current iteration. But backlog iteration is not set as current iteration, why it will show in current plan view(or my current plan)?

I'm pretty sure it's because it is always available and always active. It is assigned to a special backlog iteration that doesn't have start and end dates and represents all pending work for the project, so it is always "current".
