Need to download IM1.2 separately if need to upgrade RTC?

Installation Manager (IM) 1.2 is required in order to upgrade RTC 1.0 to 1.0.1. However, I do not think the RTC1.0.1 installation package contains the installation bits for IM1.2. Is this right?

This is not the case for other Rational rational applications that are already using IM, for examples, RSA, RMT, etc. For these applications, if upgrading IM is necessary, IM is packaged with them.

Thanks.

Hi

I upgraded my IM some time ago - but I am pretty sure the IM checks for updates when it starts - so it will upgrade itself before attempting to upgrade RTC.

Thanks, Anthony.

Did you use online/web upgrade or the downloaded version? I have to use the download version since the server is behind a firewall and has no internet access.

All of the RTC 1.0.1 downloads and media should contain the IM 1.2 bits.
If you believe you are seeing an older installation manager packaged
with one of the RTC 1.0.1 downloads, please open a work item and provide
the URL to the specific download you are using along with any errors or
messages which lead you to believe the wrong version is included.

Thanks!
