Unable to open plans in RTC for a normal user like Team Member role but admin is able to open them. Can anyone please suggest solution for this?

We have been facing a issue in RTC like , a normal user(team member role) is unable to open any of the plans in web client but it is working in eclipse client. When ever we open a plan in web client it is showing 'loading (...)' and it is not completely  showing the plan details. But anyway 'admin role' users are able to open them completely . Can anyone please give suggestions in this regard.

I had similar issue with plans in WEB UI, if there were outplaced items, which belongs to another project area, where the user has NO access to it (Neither as project area member nor on the access tab by enabling everyone or add the user to a userlist).

I filed a PMR and a defect against this. Now it's an APAR:

Check if all Items are in your PA. Maybe it's the same issue.

- Is this the same behavior with any user or just a particular user? Is this seen for any plan or a particular plan?
- Any differences seen in different web browsers?
- What version of RTC is this and how many customized attributes are there in the plan being loaded?

- Generally, it is a good practice is try to split plan into smaller plans of 300-500 top level items, and use child items for break down.
Try to control the number of WIs to be under 500 within a plan to receive reasonable response time.                                                                             
For large plan, try to uncheck the 'Include All Items' option to avoid execution items being loaded by defaults.
This will reduce the number of WIs being loaded to gain faster response.

Just a few things for you to try.

Hi Sumant

     All the users in Jazz User group have trouble loading the plans
however if in Jazz Admin group, they are able to open without any issue and this issue is not related to browser as we are facing the same in all of them  and there are no custom attributes .Also it is  applicable to all the plans. We are using RTC 4.0.
