Migrating local tomcat users to LDAP

Shelby Phillips (29624621) | asked Nov 04 '08, 3:30 p.m.
Is there a process or tool for successfully migrating between tomcat local users and LDAP?

We are looking to migrate a project repository from local tomcat users to LDAP, but are concerned about losing all subscriptions, profiles, and ownership of work items for those users.

We don't have a tool to convert tomcat-users.xml to LDIF format.

What about best practices or support for this conversion? I am concerned about going in "blind" and would like some guidance on what the options are.

Since enabling LDAP disables local login, how does this impact pre-existing Work Item assignments and subscriptions?

Will these Work Items continue to reference local users, or will errors be generated by the system? Can they be re-assigned to LDAP users?

Hi, is this still the case in later versions of RTC (2.0.0.2)? I'd also like to move from the tomcat-users.xml file to BluePages LDAP without losing any subscriptions/assignments etc.
