I am looking for a way to pre-populate a "template" in the Description field that must be filled out by a person opening a defect workitem so that they will be remined to provide the required information to help a developer resolve the issue quickly. Has anyone done this?

This is tracked in Enhancement 64185.

Currently you can't do this unless you create your own custom attribute presentaiton. https://jazz.net/wiki/bin/view/Main/ContributingAttributePresentations

then display the description with that.

I'm very much interested in the steps taken to do exactly what the original poster required.

Paul, did you get this working, and have you posted the steps / an example anywhere I can access it?
