Why do neither Builds widget nor Build Duration widget show meaningful information?

Hi all,

This may be similar to https://jazz.net/forum/questions/92828/configure-build-duration-report-missing-team-area-and-build-definitions...

Our 'Builds' widget shows nothing at all, despite the relevant build definition being a child of the Team Area rather than the Project Area. The Build Duration graph/report does not correspond to the builds for the build definition selected. Only 2 of our 14 teams are shown in the team area section of the parameters and, in fact, the build defintion I want to report on appears under the team "Info not available".

What gives? This is potentially a very useful pair of widgets - can they be made to work?

Note: going to 'Builds' then 'Build Definitions' in the web interface shows the Team and the Build Definition, and from there we can browse to the builds and see status, duration, etc - so the information is there... Not sure if it's relevant, but our builds are managed by BuildForge.

Thanks in advance for your help - Adam Cheney

We're also seeing similar strangeness, have you managed to find any answer to this?

The Build Reports will only show data if there are build results stored in RTC. Some of them even require compilation and unit test results. I would recommend contacting IBM support.

Hi Adam,

 >> Our 'Builds' widget shows nothing at all

What version of RTC are you using? 3.x or 4.x?

>> The Build Duration graph/report does not correspond to the builds for the build definition selected

Just to confirm, did you run a recent data warehouse snapshot after creating new team areas, creating new build definitions, running builds, etc?

>> Not sure if it's relevant, but our builds are managed by BuildForge.

Actually, it likely is relevant. I would need to check with the RTC Build team to determine how BuildForge data is integrated into the RTC Web UI.
