Is it possible to link a RRC Requirement with an RSA Diagram
Fellows,
I'm using RRC to develop sw requirements (Vision, Features, Non-Functional Req, Use cases, mockups). Then, I use RSA to realize the use cases, developing for each use case a class diagram and if appliable, sequence diagrams. The problem is that we are trying to establish traceability from requirements (RRC) to its realizations (RSA), but we didn't find out how to do it. Bidirecional Traceability is a requirement for our development process. For RRC artifacts we can "link" them with each other, e.g., link a Functional Requirement with a UseCase Description and then with its mockup. We would like to do this same thing with RSA, linking a use-case with its respectives realization diagrams. Is there any solution to this scenario? |

Danny,
There are some YouTube videos on RSA DM that show the linking with RTC work items but would be similar with RRC requirement except only one-way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l5ucWzLTf-g (there are 4 videos in this series) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reKelRG6dJw The online docs have information on how to setup the lining: http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/rdmhelp/v3/topic/com.ibm.rcam.linking.doc/topics/t_linking_over.html Don |
Danny,
Not yet. Currently there is uni-directional linking from an RSA model element to a requirement. Bidirectional requirements / design traceability is one of the items in the current RRC release plan: https://jazz.net/projects/rational-requirements-composer/release-plan/ Don |
Thanks Don,
can you address me to some article or thread where I can read about uni-directional linking from an RSA model element to a requirement that you mentioned? Regards Danny Danny, |
