RRDI Reporting- Inconsistency with workitem ID and URL

Bharath M (5465428) | asked Jan 24 '12, 4:19 a.m.
Hi,

I'm trying to create a simple list report using RRDI, that displays Workitem ID, Project Area, WI Type, Owner and Summary.

I have selected these columns from Request Area. But for some reason, the Workitem ID (Request ID) and the remaining data does not match.

For eg:
WI ID | Project Name | Type | Owner | Summary
24608 | IS - Business Glossary | Defect | Shlomit Becker | test

In the above example, WI_ID#24608 doesn't relate to Business GLossary project at all.

Also, if I display URL, the url contains correct WI_ID. So basically, except WI_ID, every other column is correct.

Any clue what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks,
Bharath

In the data warehouse the Request ID is a unique ID generated by the DW, and is not related to the work item ID in the source application (RTC).

The identifier generated by RTC is stored in the column named Reference ID in the DW.

Thanks Jared. I'm really confused with this terminology now. Is there a document that lists out RTC fields and equivalent DW columns?

See this page of the documentation. Alternatively there's a spreadsheet with the same info.

The identifier generated by RTC is stored in the column named Reference ID in the DW.
